Sierra Jayde

Here is the newest member of our Family. Sierra Jayde was born February 25, 2010, and now weighs 10lbs. She is a basset hound and is now a part of the McDaniels' family. She is so cute and adorable there are not any words to describe it. She was adopted May 10, 2010, and currently is at the vets office being treated for kennel cough, but she will be home soon. I cannot wait until all of you can meet her, she is so precious. Her eyes just made me want her so much, so here is to my new "daughter", Sierra Jayde.

Colin's Busted Head

Went in for Aaron's routine dental check up, and Colin is sent to the pediatrician for stitches. While filling out the necessary paperwork for the dentist office, Colin is walking around, minding his own business, trips over his own feet and falls right into the corner of the chair. When I heard the crash, I knew immediately that it was my son, he comes around the corner, blood dripping from his head. The nurses were there on the spot to help me and took him back to take care of him. I really appreciate the staff and Dr. Lawrence for all they did to help Colin. Dr. Lawrence talked to one of our pediatricians and we were sent over to their office for another look, and that is when they decided to put in a couple of stitches. This is just one of many to come...

From play to sleep

The key to having a good nights rest is to wear their tushes out before bedtime, it was such a beautiful day, let the boys play outside with Angel and they then showed how it can wear a person out just to get a little ray of sunshine. I am so blessed to have such wonderful sons, they light up my day...even when I am furious, they still make me laugh somehow. The McDaniels' boys really know how to sleep, they look so peaceful, and yet so uncomfortable, but atleast they are consistent. They have always been crazy sleepers.
I look at the pictures of play and realize that Colin seems to be unclothed all the time, just like my baby sister was when she was that age, and I also see that I let him dress himself as his underwear are backwards, and it turns my frown upside down to see that.
Looking at Aaron, I remember when he was a baby and such a big baby at that, that now he is a big boy, getting taller and skinner by the minute.
Wow, it is truly amazing what joy they can bring to you when you sit back and watch them, if one for a minute.

Emeril? Bobby Flay? Alton Brown?

Colin cookin' his Lobster Bisque

No, it's CAM. He has taken a strong interest in cooking. Already this morning we have had Lobster Bisque, Snake, Amaradillo, and Chicken and broccoli with a white sauce. Don't worry there was no cross contamination, as he has impeccable hygiene, Executive Chef CAM has washed his hands at least fifty times and washed his knife after every use. Daddy eventually was appointed the Sous Chef, taking every command from Chef CAM, and proceeded with caution as he didn't cut the onions correctly and was sternly reprimanded. We look forward to new and amazing recipes from our little chef of the McDaniels' clan.

Baseball with Colin

It is a wonderful feeling to be able to spend time with your youngest child and not have to worry bout anything else...spending time with him and our dog, Angel was so enjoyable, Angel was determined to help with catching the ball, she just wanted to be part of all the fun, memorable times. Can't wait until Aaron arrives home to play some with him too. On another note, we have signed him up again for Challengers Little League...so excited for him to be part of team and to participate is this wonderful league.

Kid's Say the Darnedest Things

Colin brought me a toy the other day, he says "Mom, the toy is broken, its all screwed up."

Aaron was playing his Monsters game, it where he can create different monsters, I was interested in what he was doing, he was using some of the templates the game offers, I told him that he could create is own, he informs me that "I know that Mom, I am customizing my own."

I was cleaning the boys room today and Colin was trying to help, but he decided to go tell Daddy that "Mommy is bothering me and won't listen to me."

It is truly amazing what will come out of the mouths of children when you really give them a chance to express themselves.
